About the Event
Dig for a Difference is a groundbreaking ceremony and community fundraiser taking place at Gavora Creek Landing, a new residential development in Campden. The idea behind the event is simple: building a new neighbourhood starts with caring for the community that is already here.
As development begins at Gavora Creek Landing, we wanted one of our first community events to be about giving back to our neighbours. Directly across the road is a Bethesda group home, and we learned that they are hoping to create a dedicated sensory room for the residents who live there. We saw an opportunity to bring the community together and help make that project possible.
What to Expect
Lattes, coffee and hot chocolate
Games, face painting and a bouncy castle
Original artwork for sale by some of the Bethesda residents, who will be joining us
Campden apparel and baked goods from the Campden General Store
The morning is family-friendly and open to the whole community. Bring the kids and your grandkids! Donations will be collected in support of creating the new sensory room at Bethesda.
About Gavora Creek Landing
Gavora Creek Landing is a new residential community being developed in Campden, with 39 new homes planned within the neighbourhood.
For a small community like Campden, thoughtful residential development can bring benefits beyond the new homes themselves. New construction brings investment into the area, creates opportunities for local businesses and trades, and introduces new families who will shop locally, participate in community organizations and become part of the fabric of the village.
New homes can also contribute to the ongoing renewal of a community by adding modern housing options and investing in local infrastructure. Over time, well-planned development can be one of many factors that support the desirability and property values of the surrounding area, although individual property values will always depend on broader market conditions and the specific property.
Most importantly, our goal is for Gavora Creek Landing to feel like an extension of Campden, rather than simply a new development within it. We want the people moving into the neighbourhood to discover what makes Campden special, support the businesses and organizations that are already here, and become active members of the community.
Dig for a Difference is one way we hope to start that relationship before the neighbourhood is even complete.

About Bethesda
Bethesda provides residential support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through its Group Home Living program. Residents live in small, family-like homes with 24-hour support from trained staff, while being encouraged and supported to participate in activities, build relationships and be active members of their local community.
The sensory room would provide residents with a dedicated, supportive environment designed around their sensory needs, offering a space where they can regulate, relax and engage in activities that are meaningful to them.
Our hope with Dig for a Difference is not only to raise funds for the sensory room, but also to bring together the people who already call Campden home with those who will become part of the community as Gavora Creek Landing grows.
Building a new neighbourhood starts with caring for the community around it.
