My Goals as a Real Estate Agent: More Than Selling Homes
When I think about my goals as a real estate agent, the obvious answer is that I want to sell homes. And yes, I definitely do.
But there’s a lot more behind it than that.
Taking Good Care of My Clients
First and foremost, I want to provide the best service I possibly can to my clients.
Buying or selling a home is a big deal. There are a lot of decisions, a lot of money involved, and sometimes a lot of stress. I want my clients to know they have someone in their corner who they can trust, who will be honest with them, and who will work hard on their behalf.
I want people to walk away from working with me feeling like they were genuinely taken care of.
Showing Off What Niagara Builders Have to Offer
Another big goal of mine is helping my new construction sellers get their homes sold.
It’s a tough market out there right now, especially for new construction, but I’m up for the challenge.
There are some really beautiful homes being built throughout Niagara, by builders and tradespeople who put an incredible amount of work into what they do. Part of my job is making sure people actually see that.
I want my marketing to do more than put a listing on MLS. I want to show off the craftsmanship, the thoughtful details, the lifestyle and the possibilities that come with a brand-new home.
There’s so much beauty in these homes, and I want to tell that story well.
Building a Business That Gives Back
Long term, one of my biggest goals is to use my real estate business as a way to give back.
There are communities and organizations that have given so much to our family over the years. Niagara Children’s Centre, Anchor Christian Homes, Bethesda, our school community, our church community and so many individual people have supported us in different seasons of life.
Being in a position where my work allows me to financially give back to those communities would be such an honour.
I don’t want success in real estate to only be measured by how many homes I sell. I want it to create opportunities to support the people and organizations doing important work right here in our community.
And Maybe My Kids Are Watching, Too
There’s another part of this that matters to me.
I want my kids to see that it’s good to work hard. It’s good to put your all into something and try to do it well.
I want them to see that the talents God gives us aren’t meant to only benefit ourselves. We must use them to serve the people around us.
So yes, I have goals for this real estate career. I want to grow my business. I want to sell a bunch of homes. I want to help my builders succeed.
But more than anything, I want to build a business that serves people well, gives back to the community that has given so much to our family, and uses what God has given me for something bigger than myself.
That’s the kind of success I’m working toward.
